Justifying the killing of innocents in the name of religion is, unfortunately, a common occurence during our history. It poisons every one of them, no matter their good intentions.
As a matter of fact, dying in the process isn't very smart either.
Uh oh, you just might bring down the whole religion of Islam with this dangerous cartoon. It will shake the very foundation of their spiritual beliefs! I hope you have found a cozy place to hide.
Today I phoned a german friend and he pointed out that "it is interesting that the Danish, probably the most multicultural progressive society in the E.U. is having its embassies burned down while my country has oppressed its growing muslim population for the past 50 years. Our embassies are still standing."
A sort of human library, i call this guy whenever i am having difficulty getting to the heart of the matter. In this case, a Cartoon Curfuffle. If you want to read a coherent arguement about why this is happening now as opposed to months ago when the cartoons were originally published, here's a link to an entry in the European Tribune's blog site.
