Dalton McGuinty of Green Acres, Ontario

Is Dalton McGuinty really the feckless rube he appears to be?

In the wake of his magnum opus, the HST, McGuinty now fancies himself an expert on money-saving tips for Ontarians.

From The Windsor Star: "Premier Dalton McGuinty suggests that Ontarians concerned about rising energy costs should consider doing their laundry on weekends, when electricity rates are lower."

It seems the premier has a ready audience for his pearls of wisdom (and by "pearls of wisdom" I mean utter, inane bullshit). The article in which McGuinty speaks from The Mount regarding Ontarians' laundry practices is 346 words in length. That's fully 300 words too many.

Why doesn't McGuinty go back to Green Acres, Ontario and run for local dogcatcher?

Is it possible, outside of a sketch on Monty Python's Flying Circus to have a politician in power who is as vapid, feeble, inane and blank as Dalton McGuinty?

That Canada's richest province could be ruled by such an embarrassing clown says something horrifying about Canadian democracy, the electorate, Canadian politics and the quality of our drinking water.

What next? Will McGuinty give a tutorial on how to secret Ziploc baggies into Casino buffets so the whole family can eat for days on end off a good haul?

But enough blogging! It's Saturday night! I should be downstairs at the washtub, obeying the premier!
